Yes. However there are some countries exempted from this requirement. For a list of these countries please contact a Dominican Consulate.

Yes. Thai citizens would need to present both passport and visa at the port of entry.
Does an American citizen require a passport to enter the Dominican Republic?
No. However American citizens would need to present at the port of entry legal documentation that certifies his/her nationality, such as a birth certificate, voter registration or an affidavit by a public notary.
Is a Visa required for an American Citizen to enter the Dominican Republic?
No. The only entry requirement for passport holders will be to purchase a tourist card, at the Dominican Consulate or at your arrival at the airport in the Dominican Republic.

Yes. Actually, many people prefer to get married in the Dominican Republic. You will need a passport, birth certificate, certification or proof that the person is single, signed by a public notary and also legalized by the Dominican Consulate closest to you.
